PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A 56-year-old woman was arrested outside the Lindsay Clancy trial for allegedly attempting to photograph the jury, the Herald has learned.

It all hit as the jury was sent home early after declaring they were deadlocked.

The State Police told the Herald Dawn Light of Sutton was arrested Tuesday at about 3:40 p.m. outside the Plymouth District Courthouse. She is charged with one count of “intimidation of a witness, jurors.”

She is slated to be arraigned Wednesday, the MSP stated.

The arrest came right after the jury of nine women and three men were sent home early after informing the judge they were at am impasse on a verdict. It was not divulged how the jurors were split on the vote in this triple-murder case.

The media has been ordered to stay away from the jurors during the trial and especially during deliberations. The TV cameras must also turn away each time the jury in called in, or dismissed from court to guarantee they remain anonymous.

A Herald survey of readers also shows a split decision — with more than 5,000 respondents torn between guilty of first-degree murder, not guilty by reason of insanity and straight up not guilty. Second-degree murder, manslaughter and hung jury are the least favorite options. The poll remains open.
