Hayden Panettiere’s ex Wladimir Klitschko is calling for an investigation into the disappearance of some of her jewelry following her sudden death, including the engagement ring he gave her, which has an estimated value of $500,000.

Klitschko believes “a non-family member previously connected to Hayden” recently took and sold off some of her belongings, according to court documents obtained by TMZ, submitted as part of the ex-boxer’s efforts to be named guardian of Kaya, the 11-year-old daughter he shared with Panettiere. He added the pawn shop allegedly used will not provide any details on the matter unless it is contacted by law enforcement and he is worried the Nashville actress’ belongings will be sold off absent some type of intervention.

Klitschko, who already had sole custody of Kaya, was with Panettiere on and off from 2009 to 2018. He proposed to her in 2015 with a ring bearing an emerald-cut center diamond and a split-shank setting, US Weekly reported. It is among the missing items, sources told the magazine.

The “Heroes” actress died on Aug. 16 from the toxic effects of fentanyl and other drugs, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, which has since ruled her death an accident. In addition to fentanyl, toxicology tests also detected alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax; the muscle relaxant methocarbamol; and quetiapine, which is a medication used to treat schizophrenia as well as bipolar disorder and, in some cases, depression.

In his initial petition for guardianship, which would allow him to assist with matters of Panettiere’s estate, Klitschko additionally accused the “non-family member” of accessing and destroying some of the late actress’ emails. He also deemed it necessary that an administrator be appointed to oversee Panettiere’s assets, locate any missing property and coordinate with law enforcement.

Klitschko further claimed his ex hired security in the lead up to her death due to concerns that an unidentified person had “gained unauthorized access” to her property.
