Kimberly Guilfoyle back with 'scores to settle,' Trump Jr. should watch out, report says

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Kimberly Guilfoyle has quietly returned to the United States, three weeks after she was asked to resign from her plush post as the U.S. ambassador to Greece following a string of scandals, including a report that she asked one of President Donald Trump’s donors to pay off her $100,000 American Express credit card bill.
But the former San Francisco prosecutor may not stay quiet for long, with the Daily Mail reporting that she has some “scores to settle” against people she believes have wronged her — starting with her ex-fiancé Donald Trump Jr. and his new wife, Bettina Anderson.
Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, Guilfoyle, 57, was “blindsided” to learn that Trump Jr., her boyfriend of six years, had begun secretly seeing Anderson, a younger Palm Beach socialite.
Once Trump was elected to a second term, his son, 48, and Anderson, 39, went public with their romance, while Trump offered Guilfoyle what was seen as a consolation prize -— the ambassadorship to Greece. It was also reported that the job would get the former Fox News host out of the country and put some distance between her and Trump Jr. and Anderson — while also keeping her in the Trump fold.
“Kimberly loved getting job of ambassador to Greece,” a source told the Daily Mail. “But that didn’t diminish the agony of Don Jr.’s betrayal — and what some considered her banishment out of country so he didn’t have to come face to face with her wrath.”
But the Daily Mail source said that “all bets are off” now that the Trump administration has officially cut Guilfoyle loose following the former San Francisco prosecutor’s dramatic downfall, involving allegations that she engaged in improper and possibly illegal conduct before and during her tenure in Athens.
At the top of the list of Guilfoyle’s “scores to settle” are Trump Jr. and Anderson, the Daily Mail said.
“She made it perfectly clear how little she thought of Bettina from the start,” a source told the Daily Mail. The Daily Mail previously reported that Guilfoyle teamed up with an ex-boyfriend of Anderson’s to try and split her and Trump Jr. up. But their efforts failed, and Trump Jr. and Anderson married in the Caribbean over the summer.
The Daily Mail also reported last month that Guilfoyle was considering whether to get even with members of the Trump family for appearing to turn their backs on her, even after she became a member of the family’s inner circle and one of the president’s most loyal, high-profile supporters.
Guilfoyle could get even by revealing family secrets she became privy to during the six years she dated Trump Jr., the Daily Mail said. She reportedly recorded those secrets in a diary, her own version of a “burn book,” the Daily Mail said.
Guilfoyle can’t have been happy about the way the president tried to distance himself from her after his spokesperson said she had been asked to resign. Trump denied a reporter’s assertion that she once was “almost a member of his family.”
“No, she wasn’t a member of my family,” Trump said. “She, I guess, dated my son a long time ago.”
But Trump’s attempts to downplay Guilfoyle’s closeness to him and his family wouldn’t necessarily stop her from saying she has secrets to reveal, the source told the Daily Mail. “Kimberly knows where the bodies are buried. She knows the people, the secrets, the fights, the relationships. Nobody wants an angry Kimberly back home with nothing to lose,” the source.
But now Guilfoyle is back, having returned late last week, according to the Daily Mail. In an attempt to return to the MAGA social scene, she attended a CPAC gala at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday hosted by conservative activist Matt Schlapp.
Meanwhile, Guilfoyle is staying at the home of her second ex-husband, businessman Eric Villency, with whom she shares son Ronan, 20.
“It’s not surprising that Eric would be there for Kim,” an insider told the Daily Mail. The insider also said they have “genuine affection for each other” — unlike with her first husband, California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Guilfoyle has to figure out where to live permanently; Trump Jr. bought her out of the six-bedroom mansion in Jupiter, Florida, they purchased together after they became engaged and in late 2020.
Guilfoyle also has to figure out what to do, as she faces investigations by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and by the State Department’s inspector general. Guilfoyle has been accused of using her position for personal gain, in order to enjoy a lavish lifestyle while working for the U.S. government.
The allegations first surfaced in in The Wall Street Journal in September. The alleged misconduct that garnered the biggest headlines involved claims by Erik Deters, a prominent former MAGA donor from northern Kentucky. Deters shared Signal text messages with The Wall Street Journal that showed Guilfoyle begged him to pay off her $100,000 American Express bill ahead of her Senate confirmation hearing, while she promised to help him get access to Trump officials who could help him with some legal and IRS business.
Deters also is at the top of Guilfoyle’s list of “scores to settle,” the Daily Mail said. “Exposing those texts was the ultimate humiliation,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “And no telling what she has in store for him.”
But Deters’ revelations have made Guilfoyle a target of newly empowered Democratic lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee. Following the party’s landslide victory in this week’s midterm elections, which gave them control of the House and the Senate, lawmakers have said that the “Trump crime family” will be the focus of investigations into how people in the president’s circle used their access to power to allegedly enrich themselves.
“Kimberly Guilfoyle is a fraud, and if she thinks she’s escaping accountability just because she resigned, she’s sorely mistaken. Our investigation is just getting started,” said Rep. Robert Garcia, a Democrat from California who is a ranking member of the committee.
