FORT WORTH, Texas — Taylor Sheridan’s Fort Worth-filmed “The Madison” is coming back for Season 3.

The Michelle Pfeiffer-led Paramount+ series premiered its first three episodes on March 14, and released its final three on March 21. The show is described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family (the Clyburns) in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

Paramount announced Tuesday, April 14, that the series has been renewed for a third season. No filming or release date was mentioned in the announcement.

“Season 2 is already in the works, and now it’s official: ‘The Madison’ has been renewed for Season 3 as well!” a post on the Instagram page of “The Madison” read.

‘The Madison’ is back for Season 3

Before premiering this spring, “The Madison” filmed its first season in 2024 and second in 2025.

The reasoning for the dual season shoot was to accommodate Kurt Russell’s schedule as he was filming “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” in 2024. When “The Madison” came back for Season 2, Russell joined the production to film scenes for both seasons.

Production on the show’s first two seasons took place in Montana and in North Texas, where the region stood in for New York City.

Several Fort Worth locations appeared in Season 1, including restaurants like Emilia’s, Clay Pigeon and Wicked Butcher. The Modern Art Museum also makes an appearance.

It’s unclear if Season 3 will film in North Texas, but if the first two seasons are any indication, the show could be back in the region sometime soon. In addition to Fort Worth, the show filmed scenes in Denton, Dallas and Weatherford.

While already filmed, no release date has been set for “The Madison” Season 2.

The second season is expected to follow the Clyburns as they continue to grieve and move forward after a family tragedy. Both Montana and New York City will likely appear in the second go-around.

In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, “The Madison” stars Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Kevin Zegers and Will Arnett.
