Kanye West spent "thousands upon thousands" of dollars on Pokémon cards this week.

The controversial rapper - who has North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, eight, and seven-year-old Psalm with ex-wife Kim Kardashian - took his kids for a private shopping trip to collectibles store LA Sports Cards on Wednesday (30.09.26), where he spared no expense in buying gifts for his "excited" brood.

A source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "Kanye went to LA Sports Cards in Burbank with his kids Wednesday night. They shut the store down for him to shop. His kids were so excited.

"He spent thousands upon thousands on Pokémon cards for them and they were going crazy opening them up."

The store shared a photo of the Stronger hitmaker posing in the shop alongside some employees.

They captioned the post: "Always a pleasure having you @ye. Thank you so much for stopping by!(sic)"

Back in May, Kanye and Psalm, along with one of the boy's friends, were spotted leaving the store with a large black and white box.

And Kim was also seen at the outlet in February, suggesting the children are dedicated collectors.

Meanwhile, Kanye's eldest daughter North recently revealed she wants to get a job at Starbucks to go alongside her burgeoning music career.

Asked what she'd be if she wasn't an artist, she told Dazed: "What would I be? I still wanna work.

"I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year 'cause I'm gonna be 14, so… I think I can.

"I want to have a regular job, I guess."

Despite her barista idea, North insisted she would never put her music career on hold, and pushed back at those who have suggested she could wait until she's older to pursue that dream.

Revealing the worst advice she's been given, the teenage star said: "To start my career later. It's like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life."

Meanwhile, North revealed that her ideal day involves keeping busy and working on music in some form.

She added: "I don't know… I don't like to rest a lot. I like to get stuff done.

"So maybe just going to rehearsal, and then going to the studio; that's a perfect day. Or having a big show would be the most ideal day."

She made her first ever solo music festival appearance at Summer Smash in June, although the rising star wishes she hadn't waited so long.

She said: "I wish I'd done it earlier, though. I've been ready."
