Hulk Hogan's racist sex tape influenced Brooke to remove herself from will

Brooke Hogan’s husband, former pro hockey player Steven Oleksy, says she decided to remove herself from estranged dad Hulk’s will is linked to the wrestling star’s racist rant in his infamous sex tape.
The NHL alum, 39, told Us Weekly that his late father-in-law’s earnings largely amounted to blood money, with respect to the “life-altering embarrassment” 37-year-old Brooke endured in the tape’s fallout.
“That money does not represent accomplishments in the ring — the majority of it came at the expense of my wife’s dignity,” said Oleksy, in reference to the tape leaked by Gawker in 2012. The defunct outlet later settled with Hulk for $31 million in 2016.
“It was built on hurtful comments about her and her past relationship, which caused pain not only to her, but to many other families. … My wife was put in a position to defend someone without knowing the full truth,” said Oleksy, who welcomed fraternal twins with the “Hogan Knows Best” star earlier this year.
He said Brooke was previously “unaware … the derogatory language was directed at her and her ex, and conveniently misinformed of the transcripts.” She and her ex-boyfriend, who was Black, “never received a direct apology.”
Insiders close to Brooke told TMZ she requested to be removed from her father’s will in 2023, the last time they spoke.
“Our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,” Brooke wrote that day, of her father’s death last Thursday. He was 71.
